Workshops¶
Pre-conference workshops specifically directed at our early career scientists will be offered on the weekend prior to the main conference. Preliminary workshop titles are:
Exploring Machine Learning for Radioglaciology (Leah Sophie Muhle, University of Tübingen, Germany)
This workshop will provide an overview of the machine learning methods that are already being used in radioglaciology, offer short tutorials on these methods, and explore ways to further integrate machine learning into radioglaciology.
The state of phase-sensitive radioglaciology (Falk Oraschewski, Geological Survey (GEUS), Copenhagen, Denmark)
This workshop discusses key achievements and ongoing challenges in the application of phase-sensitive radar in glaciology. Is it time for a community review?
“Software-Defined Radar - What It Can and Can’t Do (Johannes Noll, University of Tübingen, Germany)
In this workshop, the topic of software-defined radar systems will be explored, including how they differ from other radars, what is needed to use one, and their limitations.
